From the beginning of his study of the Bible, which reaches back to his youth, Bryan Vinson, Sr., has been fascinated with this particular letter of Paul. He has been a devout and painstaking student through the years. In addition to his being an ardent student of the Bible, Mr. Vinson has saturated his mind with the writings of the pioneers in the “Restoration Movement”: the Campbells, Moses E. Lard, J. W. McGarvey and many others. In this present work the author manifests the same independence of thought and dedication to truth that characterized the thinking and writings of those great men of a past era. The author of this commentary has striven to aid the interested student of the sacred writings to reach a clearer understanding of the majestic theme of “justification by faith” as set forth by the Spirit-inspired apostle.
